August's Car Barn Drivers Club event "Driven up the Wall" is our driving event. Instead of our usual evening gathering, we are taking part in the Hadrian's Wall 1900 Festival Tour on Sunday 7th August 2022. The Organisers of Car Barn Drivers club have submitted a single car entry to participate and would like to invite others to join them for the day.

Hexham & District Motor Club are hosting the Roman 1900 Festival Tour which will cover approximately 130 miles, and will take in the upper reaches of the River Tyne and parts of the North Pennines. Entrants will be free to enjoy the sights at their own pace as the event is not timed.

The Tour will start with breakfast from 8am at The Sill National Discovery Centre, where entrants will be given easy to follow route instructions, and end at the Twice Brewed Pub where food and refreshments will be provided.

Although the event is not organised by Car Barn Drivers Club, we encourage our members to attend our only driving event of the year.

This event has a £60 entry fee, which includes a hot breakfast bun and hot drink at the start, hot meal served at the finish, Monte-Carlo style Rally Plate, a Goodie Bag including local produce, and a commemorative reminder of the Tour.
