Jonathon - Sales Manager
Married with two children and living in Prudhoe, Jonathon is also the Chairman of the Hexham and District Motor Club organising rallies throughout the year and competing as a navigator. Starting as a young weekend trainee with Fiat/Alfa Romeo in Stockport, Jonathon worked up the ranks spending time in each department including a year on the Service desk. After 4 years he moved to Mangolesti Alfa Romeo in Cheshire, staying with the same marque during a move to Newcastle in 2008 to help open a new dealership. After time as Brand Manager for Maserati, Jonathon joined the Car Barn in October 2021 as Sales Manager.
Amy - Workshop Manager
Our Workshop Manager Amy grew up locally, in Whickham, and now lives only a stone’s throw away in Dunston with her husband and 5-year-old daughter. Her 20 years of experience in the trade includes time spent as a Service Advisor, Parts Manager, Aftersales Manager and now Workshop Manager, with the only area she hasn’t worked in being Sales! Amy started out driving a VW Fox (bought with her student loan at 21), but with car tastes ranging from E-Types to fast Golfs she enjoys the variety of cars that visit the Barn.
Chris - Aftersales Manager
Chris has been in the motor trade for the entirety of his working life, starting as a 16 year old at an independent Jaguar specialist with his father. 10 years there was followed by a brief stint living in Australia before he returned to the UK to take up a role with BMW. Over 23 years with BMW Chris worked as a Technician, Workshop Controller, Service Manager and fi nally Aftersales Manager overseeing a team of 40 people. Originally from Norton, Teesside, Chris is married with 2 children and is a lover of the great outdoors, with a keen interest in classic and 4wd cars.
Dan - Workshop Technician
Dan joined Car Barn Beamish in the summer of 2022, bringing a wealth of 4x4 knowledge and expertise that was vital for the opening of our INEOS Automotive agency. Starting out as an apprentice at Citroen/ Peugeot, Dan’s interest in 4x4s took him to a Land Rover restoration specialist where he built unique one-off off -roaders. He lives in Durham with his partner and 2 children and spends his spare time competing in off -road competitions and winch challenges. Dan is a car person through and through, having owned many Land Rovers as well as modded enthusiast cars; his dream build would utilise a Hillman Imp!

Jack - Head of Marketing
After growing up in West Yorkshire (with a two year stint in Leicestershire) Jack moved to Newcastle to study Mechanical Engineering. He joined Aston Workshop in late 2022 as Marketing Executive, progressing to Head of Marketing in 2026. Jack lives a stones-throw from Aston Workshop in Tantobie, County Durham. He considers cars a hobby first-and-foremost which makes writing about them a dream job! A Huddersfield Town season ticket holder, Jack makes the journey down to Yorkshire regularly to support the Terriers.
Stuart - Graphic Designer
Stuart has worked as a Graphic Designer across a range of industries for over 25 years. Having started as a Junior Designer in a design studio in the Midlands, he has developed skills across print, digital and interactive media in both a multi-disciplined agency environment and as an in-house designer. Working with large multi-national organisations, SME’s and start-ups, he has a wide range of experience across magazine and brochure design, web design, advertising, POS/exhibition design and online media. Having moved to the North East in 2017, Stuart now develops our print and online identity, producing our newspapers, magazines and website updates as part of our marketing team.
