The Car Barn are pleased to offer for sale this very rare Caterham 7 CSR 260 Superlight
It is finished in Ferrari Scuderia Red and has a black interior.
The CSR is an updated take on the traditional Caterham 7. The CSR was meant to be the most fundamental rethink of the Seven in decades. A redesign meant enhanced rigidity and improved aero, double suspension wishbones at each corner, coil overs, and an independent rear axle replacing the standard Seven’s more basic setup. A Cosworth-fettled 2.3 Duratec is also fitted, alongside an overhauled interior, revised steering, bespoke tyres and lots more.
Importantly while the CSR was available with a 2.3 200 Bhp engine, this has the 'Full fat' 260bhp variant. Powering the car from 0-60 in just 3.1 seconds.
The superlight enhanced all the existing features to make this much more focussed drivers car to include removing the windscreen, carpet, heater and weather gear and adding a limited slip differential and a quicker steering rack. Importantly, it also features 'Dynamic Suspensions' dampers manufactured by MTCe as original equipment to enhance the driving thrills even more!
For the exterior the Superlight came enhanced with a wind deflector, a carbon fibre dashboard and wings, a black powder coated cockpit, quick release MOMO steering wheel and 'black pack' that disguises otherwise aluminium detailing.

The car has been stored for most of its life, having covered less than 1000 miles in the last 10 years! We have undertaken a full service on the car and we will also give it a new set of tyres prior to leaving us.

It's fitted with the sequential gearbox which is great fun and really suits the character of the car. The engine is a real firecracker, it certainly has a turn of speed and the induction noise is superb!'
