The Car Barn are very pleased to offer for sale this beautiful matching numbers XK150S for sale.
All classic cars have a story, and this car has a particularly good one!
It was originally finished in Carmen Red and with a red interior. By 1969 it was not in the greatest condition, so it's first period of restoration began. Between 1972-1975 a complete mechanical and body restoration was undertaken by Jaguar works at Browns Lane. During this time they upgraded the engine to 3.8 'S' specification and E-Type chrome wheels were fitted.
It was then sold in 1974 but then repurchased again in 1978 by the chap who had the restoration done.
Then it was sold in 1984 and in 1985 it had a complete body refurbishment and finished in VW Diamond silver. It was then rebought by the same owner from 1969 who the kept it until 1989.
In 1999 the car was seen by David Bentley who was the XK club registrar and he reported the engine as being a 3.8.
By 2008 it was being looked after by the famous Ferrari collector Andrew Pisker. He spent the best part of £30,000 at CKL developments making the car as good as it can possibly be. Around this time the car was also resprayed in the Midnight Blue which you see it in here.
It came into the current owners possession in 2012 where it was kept in his private collection and he has finally decided to move it on to a new custodian after 14 years of ownership.
The car has a huge documentation folder where there has been a lot of work done to trace the cars history and money spent.

To drive it's amazing, especially considering it's nearly 70 years old now, one can only imagine how these felt when they were new! (Especially when there were no speed limits!)
