We are pleased to offer for sale this 1990 Mercedes-Benz ‘Gelandewagen’ finished in Bronze Metallic paintwork with the stunning original (tan and cheque cloth) interior iconic in Mercedes of this era. Unusually, this particular G Wagon comes with all the originally supplied from new documentation including the Operating Instructions and Servicing Guide.
The well documented history includes a plethora of old and new MOT certificates as well as the current valid test until December of this year.
This example has had the original 3.0 litre, 5 cylinder diesel engine turbocharged by renowned diesel tuning experts Diesel Pump UK. This work was carried out by the current owner and has a paper trail of the work carried out including parts and labour invoices and dyno print outs proving the power increase to a very strong 185bhp and 266 lb/ft. of torque.
A major recommissioning exercise has been carried out recently totalling £16,340 including, head gasket (inc valve guide seals), seat base and covers, 4x shock absorbers, full exhaust system, front axle rebuild, paintwork, uprated diesel fuel pump, injectors, radiator, new steps/arches and spot lamps, fuel tank straps and a battery. The now finished result represents an exceptional G Wagon that is ready for everything Mercedes intended from this very tough 4 wheel drive vehicle.
