People who like the 911 really like 911. And people who like the 911 really like the C4S coupe. The C4S has a wider rear track and wider tyres than a standard Carrera that make the car look more voluptuous. The greater tyre and tread width also makes it corner faster in the dry than a standard Carrera and obviously makes it a lot faster and safer in the wet! The 4 wheel-drive torque split is just five percent to the front in normal running, rising to a maximum of 40 percent if rear traction is under duress. The C4S also gets tandem-servo brakes as opposed to single on the regular car, the brakes are ventilated and cross-drilled and, like much of the C4S Coupe, they are taken from the 911 Turbo. The transmission here is the five-speed Tiptronic. The suspension is lowered by 10mm compared with the normal Carrera's level, it features a rear spoiler that automatically rises when required. There have been endless eulogies to the handling, 185 MPH top speed and 'fearsome acceleration' of these stunning cars, and if you ever get to drive one, it all becomes blatantly obvious. You quickly become totally connected to every aspect of the driving experience. Throttle inputs start even as you're just thinking of pressing your right foot. Spin the engine to 5,500rpm and the engine note is tingling. The nose goes where you point it. Quick direction changes are easy. You know how much grip you have. The speed is there when you want and the brakes are utterly dependable too. There's so much capacity and capability – Fantastic! This car has had just two owners from new and comes complete with FPSH including a recent full service at 38,000 miles.
